John D. Joiner age 87 of Gary, IN passed away on Monday July 30, 2018.

He is survived by his daughters: Tracy Majka, Mary Ann (James) Labas, and Debra Rice,

Grandchildren: Jimmy and Mason Labas, Clifford, Tina and Ashley Rice and five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Willard and Mollie Joiner, his wife Theresa whom he loved dearly, his daughter Terri Lynn O'Rourk, and by his sister Shirley Gruber.

Inurnment and Military Honors will take place on Tuesday August 21, 2018 at 1:00pm CST DIRECTLY at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

John was retired from the United States Navy.  He was past commander and member of the VFW Post #802 in Hammond.In college John was a quarter back for Wayne State College.  John enjoyed golfing, bowling, and visiting with his family.
