John D. Amos age 55 of Las Vegas formerly of Griffith passed away on Tuesday October 24, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 17years Ondina; children Rebecca (Michael) Andree Jr. , Hunter Amos and Tyler Amos; grandchildren Alayna, Mason and Logan; also by his siblings Vicki Lynn Garrison, Sharee Amos, Henry "Mickey" (Suzanne) Amos, Dena (Toney) McNelley, nephews Dale and Eric, niece Teri and numerous other nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents Henry Amos and Peggy Jo Greenhaw, son  Spc. John Amos II. and brother-in-law Dallas Garrison

Memorial service will be held on Saturday November 18th at 6:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith, IN with Pastor Shawn Cornett officiating.

Friends may meet with the family on Saturday November 18th from 4:00pm-6:00pm at White Funeral Home.

John was a Gulf War Veteran and a retired 20 year Air Force Veteran. He graduated from Griffith High School class of 1980.  John was a mechanic with Allegiant Airlines and at D&C Automotive.
