Joanne R. Winter age 84 of Griffith passed away on Wednesday July 9, 2014.

She is survived by her children: Christine (Brian) Hack of Michigan, Roger (Connie) Winter of St. John, and Randall (Faye) Winter of Chicago.

Grandchildren: Amber (Nate), Jerod,and Kali Winter, Caitlin Dudley, Hannah, Olivia, and Jocelyn Hack, Stephanie, Jenna, and Justin Mulligan.

Great grandchildren: Emma, Coehn and Brooke; Niece Cheryl (Stephen) Zeck; Nephews Michael and David Griffee.

Preceded in death by her parents George & Ruth Rensvold, her husband Charles and by her sister Yvonne Griffee-Price.

Funeral Services will be private.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue Griffith.

Joanne was retired from the Griffith Police Dept. after 25 years. She was a member of Griffith First United Methodist Church, Griffith Grandmothers Club, Crafty Ladies and the Red Hats Society. Joanne was also active with the Griffith Senior Center and she enjoyed playing pinochle. She was also a lifelong Cubs fan.
