Jesse Earl Ruiz, age 43, of Cedar Lake, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. He is survived by his fiancé Jodie Briggs; children: Rebecca (Erick Magnusom) Briggs, Eddie Briggs, Gavin Ruiz, Phoebe (Conner Maul) Ruiz, and Jesse Ruiz Jr.; mother Kimberly Ruiz; father Joseph Ruiz; siblings: Josh (Stephanie) Gere, Jacob (Sarah) Ruiz, and Natalie (Jeremy) Halton; grandmother Rita (James) Hurry; nieces and nephews: Collin, Julia, Sage, Scarlet, Elias, and Stella.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Earl and Esther Ruiz.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 7:00 pm at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319. Cremation will follow services. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at White Funeral Home in Griffith.

Jesse graduated from Bloom Trail High School Class of 1998. He was a proud Army Veteran and member of American Legion Post 0020 in Crown Point. He was employed with the TSA at Midway Airport.

Jesse loved helping people and making new friends wherever he went. He also loved fishing. He loyally rooted for Da Bears, Blackhawks, and Cubs, as well as the Purdue Boilermakers!
