Jerry E. Hayes, of Griffith, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 18 years, Vicki; son, Wade; daughters, Alyssa, Savannah, and Keira; stepsons, Joshua Erwin and Jon Erwin; parents, Gerald and Carolyn Hayes; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jerry was a driver for Universal Trucking and a member of the Griffith VFW.

He loved golfing, the Chicago Bears, and fishing.

There will be a celebration of life at the Schererville American Legion Post 485 (7485 Burr St, Schererville, IN 46375) on Saturday, September 26th, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
