James J. Sutkowski age 79 of Griffith passed away on Monday January 10th, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha, daughter Kristine (Paul) McDonald, son Alan (Alisa) Sutkowski, grandchildren; Macy Sutkowski, Riley Sutkowski, Josiah Artz, Jackson McDonald, great-grandchildren Jensen Sutkowski and Opal Sutkowski, sister Catherine Sutkowski, and numerous nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Marie Sutkowski, brother Frank P. Sutkowski, and sister Margaret Rose.

Notice services were postponed due to a family member emergency.

James was a Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam War and was a retired Iron Worker. James was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener. He had a deep love and passion for his Hoosier football team. James enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved cooking traditional Polish food at all the different holidays.
