James "Jim" R. Ramsey age 63 of Griffith passed away on Wednesday May 31, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Debbie; children Kristi (Jeff) Thompson, Nathan (fiancée Chasity Mason) Ramsey; grandchildren Jacob, Sophia, Brenna and Auburn.

Also by his sisters Carol (George) Peterson and Cynthia (David) Kaymark; brother Terry (Mindy) Ramsey and many numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Marvin & Evelyn Ramsey.

A celebration of Life service will be held Saturday June 3, 2017 at 1:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith, with Pastor James Williams officiating. A private burial will be held at Memory Lane in Schererville.

Friends may meet with the family on Saturday June 3, 2017 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at White Funeral Home.

Jim was a member of Living Hope Church in Merrillville and former member of the  Church of God of Prophecy in Hammond. He retired after 40 years from LaSalle Steel in Hammond.
