James N. Meny age 88 of Hobart formerly of Griffith passed away on Friday April 22, 2016.

He is survived by his children Nancy Balzer, Donna (Keith) Aubchon, Linda Pierce, Karen (John) Hudson, Jim (Lori) Meny and Mary (Rick) Balding.

Grandchildren: Amber Leer, Christopher Balzer, Julianne Thain, Becky Garcia, Elizabeth Aubuchon, Christy Pierce, Taylor Pierce, Stephanie Hudson, Ashley Sharrar, Andrea Meny, Alyssa Meny, Colton Halterman, Megan Balding, Mike Balding and Travis Balding. Great grandchildren Jacob Leer, Mason Leer, Israel Garcia, Kieran Garcia, Nando Thain and Gabriella Thain.

He is also survived by his brothers; Joseph (Ruth) Meny and David (Mary) Meny, sisters Beverly Kaelin and Shirley Romerhausen.

James was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Flora, his wife Rosalie, brothers Jack, Jerry and Richard Meny.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 26 ^th at 10:00am St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 N. Broad Street Griffith. With Father Theodore Mens celebrating. Cremation to follow services.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday April 25 ^th 2016 from 3:00pm-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue Griffith, Indiana. There will be an evening wake service at 7:30pm on Monday.

James was an Army Veteran and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith, The Knights of Columbus, and the VFW.

He retired from LTV Steel, also from St. Mary Catholic Church maintenance and former driver for Care Pharmaceutical in Griffith.

James loved fishing, hunting and gardening in his free time.
