James H. "Jim" Dye age 76 of Highland, formerly of Griffith, passed away on Thursday, October16, 2014.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years BarbaraDye.  Children: Laura (Tim) Adams, Linda (Dan) Shaffer, Lea Ann (Keith) Kerber, David (Margo) Dye: 17 grandchildren, two great gradnchildren, sister: Janet (Carl) Konopasek, brother in law: Rich (Paulette) Obrecht and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Gene and Marie Dye.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church located at 8727 Delaware St,Highland at 3:00PM with Rev.Linda Skaggs officiating.

Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, October 19th from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith and on Monday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Highland.

Jim was the former co-owner of Jim & Carl's Barber Shop in Griffith for over 50+ years, he was a former manager and coach with Griffith Girls Softball for over 20 years.  Jim enjoyed spending time at their lake place, and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and basketball.
