James D. Dillon age 82 of Merrillville, formerly of Calumet Township, passed away on Friday July 17th, 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda, children Kimberly (Fred) Deutsch, Shawn (Amber) Dillon, and grandson Kyle Deutsch

James was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Lila Dillon and sister Sue Menke.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 23, 2020 at 3:30 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave) Griffith with Fr. Theodore Mens celebrating. Burial will be private. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday July 23, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME.

James was a retired maintenance worker for the School City of Hammond. He was the owner of the Golden Liberty Circus, an avid NRA supporter, and a member of the Izaak Walton League. James was involved with the Fort Tassinong Muzzleloader Club and Reenactments and was a member of the Calumet Clowns.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Izaak Walton Griffith Chapter.
