JACKIE L. CATHER "JACK" GARY, IN Jackie L."Jack" Cather age 60 of Gary, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Denise Cather; children: Tricia Sheaks, Donald Dykhuizen, Matthew Dykhuizen, Amanda Cather, and Natalie Cather; grandchildren: Adrianna McDonald and Brooklyn McDonald; mother: Mary Cather; brothers: Jim (Pam) Cather, Dave (Vicki) Cather, Rick (Kathy) Cather, and Jerry Cather; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his father, James Cather; brother, Bob; and daughter, Brianna. Services will be private. Burial will be at Abe Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave., Griffith, IN. Jack was a former parts tech for Carroll Chevrolet. He was employed by T. Ernest and Company and Ambassador Towing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
