Irene Matovina, age 87 of Griffith, passed away on Monday March 19, 2012.

She is survived by her Children: Nancy Matovina, Karen (Rudy) Serrato, and Larry (Terry) Matovina. Grandchildren: Leslie (Joshua) Rodriguez, Laura Matovina, and Larry Matovina Jr., Great Grandchildren: Cameryn and Kayla, and by her Brother: Alex (Rose) Medwetz.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Julia Ellas, Husband Peter, and by her brother Joseph Ellas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday March 23, 2012 at 10:00am at White Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Utley officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday March 22 ^nd from 4-8:00pm at the White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Ave. in Griffith.

Irene was a member of Family Christian Center in Munster and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
