Henry "Hank" A. Iwinski, age 92, of Schererville, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Henry is survived by his children, Camille (Keith) Stras, Kevin (Tricia) Iwinski, and Allen Iwinski; and grandchildren, Shelby, Kyle, Natalie, and Issac.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Karen; parents, Frank and Lottie Iwinski; and siblings, Regina, Frank, Eugene, Norbert, and Gerald.

Henry was a proud Army veteran and retired from Republic Steel after many years of service. He played in the polka band "Merry Notes" with his brothers for 70 years — "A little band with a big sound."

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 525 N. Broad St., Griffith, IN, with Fr. Keith Virus officiating.

Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to William J. Riley Hospice Residence in Munster.
