Henry Haynes age 79 of Griffith passed away on Friday January 13, 2017.

He is survived by his daughter Tammy Haynes of Valparaiso; his sisters Florence Fatourous and Linda Sims and by several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his four legged companions Toby, Jak, and Bobo.

Henry was preceded in death by his Parents Howard and Florence, wife Karen, brothers Richard, Pat and by his sister Betty Grimes.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 18th at 10:00am at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45TH Avenue, Griffith with Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Schererville.

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday January 17th from 4:00pm-8:00pm at White Funeral Home

Henry was retired from LTV Steel after 42 years. He was a Navy Veteran, a member of the Griffith VFW and the American Legion Post 66 in Griffith where he helped serve tacos. He was a member of the Regional  Streeters  Car Club and he loved going to car shows with his 1948 Dodge convertible. He loved the Chicago Cubs and tinkering in his garage.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Alzheimer's and Dementia Association.
