Helen A. Nowinski (nee Buda), age 93 of East Chicago, passed away on Wednesday. February 4, 2015.

She is survived by her children: Don (Renee) Nowinski, Karen (Dennis) Szany, and  Chris (Roy) Walter.

Grandchildren: Scott, Brian, Nick, Casey, Michael, Denise, Dawn, Diana, and Roy "R.J.".

Great Grandchildren: Adam, Aiden, Josh, Chrissy, Danny, Emma, Dominic, Caz, Hunter and Raevyn.

Sister: Florence Dywan.

Preceded in death by her husband: Casimer, parents: Karl and Sophie Buda, brothers:  twin, Adolph, Joseph, and Frank, sisters: Genevieve and Lottie, cousin: Anne Skocik.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Michael the Archangel National Catholic Church, located at 6629 W. 133 ^rd Avenue, Cedar Lake, IN. with Father John Kowalczyk celebrating.

Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN.

Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 4-8:00pm at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue, Griffith.

Helen was a member of St. Michael the Archangel National Catholic Church in Cedar Lake, she was  an avid bingo player, and former employee at Buda's Food Shop in East Chicago, and Lindy's Grocery.
