Fred was known by all for his generosity. He gave his time, energy, and passion to his family, friends, and community. He especially enjoyed entertaining, cooking food, providing hospitality, and enjoying the presence of the people he made happy. Fred's hobbies included reading (both fiction and non-fiction), sports (he owned Notre Dame season-tickets for decades), travelling (Poland, England, Italy), and visiting with his grandchildren. Fred always would become effervescent around his grandchildren, but any children would receive his warm attention. As such, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The visitation will be at White Funeral Home in Griffith, IN on Sunday, November 15 from 3-8pm. The funeral mass will be held at St James Church in Highland, IN on Monday, November 16 at 10:30am.
