Obituary

On April 6 th Francis Bock, passed away in his home at the age of 87.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Arlene J. Bock; his parents William P. Bock and Elfreda Bock and three of his siblings: William "Bubby" Bock, Emil Bock and infant brother. He is survived by his four children: Dale (Celene) Bock, James (Pam) Bock, Thomas (Pam) Bock, and Diana (Kurt) Goode; the grandfather of 11, great grandfather of 17 and great great grandfather of four; Francis is also survived by his siblings: Anna Marie (Bud) Horn, Bernard (Rose) Bock, and Shelby Lofay; sisters-in-law: Betty Bock, Anne Barenie and Marijean (Bob) Fischer and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Francis retired from Inland Steel after more than 40 years. He was a member of American Legion post 66 in Griffith, and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith for over 60 years. He was a member of St. Mary Church Choir through the 70's, and worked in the corn booth as a "Corn Shucker" through the 80's.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Theodore Mens celebrating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, April 10th from 3:00pm until 8:00pm, with a prayer service at 4:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 West 45th Ave. in Griffith, IN.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
