FRANCES J. KOCON (NEE PALLICK) HESSVILLE (HAMMOND) Frances J. Kocon (nee Pallick) age 76, of Hessville (Hammond) passed away peacefully at home with her loving family on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Beloved wife for 52 years to Stanley S. Kocon, Sr. until the time of his passing on August 19, 2009. Survived by her children Mona (Nick) Plesha, Stanley S. (Madelyn) Kocon, Jr., Tina (John) Gregory, Tom (Jill) Kocon & John (Jeannette) Kocon; Grandchildren Ben (Suzie) Plesha, Johnathon (Tiffany) Gregory, Bianca (Shanon) Hamara, Stephanie (Max) Sobeck, Kyle (Kayla) Kocon, Olivia Kocon & Brandon Hanusin; Great-Grandchildren Xavier, Hannah, Mikaela, Aurora, Hailey, Gage & Lia; Sisters June Mayda, Shirley (Jack) Vadas & Lee Pallick; Brother Bill (Maria) Pallick; Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law Peter (late Lottie) Kocon, Ed (Millie) Kocon, Pat (late Joe) Kocoj, Jean (late Sal) Kocon and many nieces, nephews & friends. Preceded in death by parents John & Mary Pallick, son Michael Allen, granddaughter Chynna Kocon, brother Mike (Ruth who survives) Pallick, sisters Anne Lawrence, Mary (George) Maschenik, Irene (Walter) Mayda & Pat (Al) Dobos, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Walter (Helen) Kocon, Ray Kocoj and Stella (John) Knazur. Frances was a member of the Polish Women's Alliance and an avid Bingo player. she attended modeling school, Arthur Murray dance sutdio & the Beauty Academy. She enjoyed baking and always cooked for the entire family. Frances was second hand cook with Irene's Catering and a wonderful housewife. She was MOM to not only her children but to all, including her nieces, nephews and the neighborhood kids. She was a remarkable woman who deeply cared for and cherished everyone. Frances J. Kocon you will be missed by all. The family would like to say thank you to Hospice of the Calumet Area for their help through this difficult time and for their kindness and excellent medical care they provided.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 7:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921W. 45th Avenue, Griffith.
With Father Charles Niblick officiating.
Friends may meet with the family on Saturday May 24, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at White Funeral Home.
