Eric C. Hoffman age 43 of Highland, passed away suddenly on Thursday July 28, 2016. Eric is survived by his parents Don and Kris Hoffman; brother Jeff (Melinda) Hoffman; aunts and uncles Kathy (Tim) McCoy, Larry (Vicki) Hoffman, Dave (Sandi) Krooswyk, Debbie Krooswyk, and Dori Krooswyk. He is also survived by his cousins Tim (Joelle) McCoy, Dan (Tracy) McCoy, Deanna (Robbie) Belcher, Betsy Hoffman, Sarah (Brian) Pellitier, Seth (Amy) Krooswyk, Tia (Justin) Echterling, Shawn (Dani) Krooswyk, and Jeremy Krooswyk. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents Clarence (Florence) Hoffman and Jim (Aileen) Krooswyk, his uncle Dale Krooswyk, and by his cousin Jennifer Hoffman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 5, 2016 at 10:30am at White Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Powers officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday August 4th from 4-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith.

Eric graduated from Griffith High School class of 1991 and he continued his education at Purdue University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science, while there he founded the Green Coalition Environment Group.  He was the proud owner of Coruscant Comics and Gaming in Griffith.  He currently was a professional Truck Driver for Roehl Transport. He was a former member of the Park Full of Art Committee. Eric loved the outdoors, nature, camping, and skiing. He always put others before himself.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Eric's memory.
