Emilio J. Ramirez age 30 of Hammond, passed away on Monday June 29, 2020. He is survived by his parents Heriberto and Silvia Ramirez; brother Eddie Ramirez; sister Alicia Ramirez; nieces and nephews Izabella, Berto, Eddie Jr., and Zelda; grandparents Heriberto and Maria Ramirez and Petra Berumen; and by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Jose Berumen Sr., Aunt Nancy Ramirez-Delgado, and by his four-legged companion Casey.

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 3, 2020 at 7:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave) in Griffith with Deacon Michael Halas officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday July 3rd from 3-7:00 pm at White Funeral Home.

Emilio was a very special and unique being. From his style and taste in music to the random things he would collect and to his garden he loved. He was a person that knew something about everything. He was absolutely one of a kind. His humor can sometimes be crude and dark but has always kept the people around him laughing.  His beautiful smile and laugh were infectious. He loved music almost as much as he loved being an uncle. He picked up the guitar when he was 12, shortly after his older brother began to play. Emilio was so passionate about guitar and it showed instantly. He spent a lot of time making music with his friends. He spent countless hours playing in the basement of his home which his mom adored hearing. Emilio wanted to cook for his loved ones or give out an invitation to the backyard cookout. He enjoyed being outside especially fishing with his dad. He was kind and free spirited. He will be missed immensely." The family would like everyone to please wear a mask and practice social distancing while attending the visitation and funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
