Emil S. "Butch" Peters age 75 of Schererville, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda

Daughters: Lisa (Otto) Boy, Annette (Troy) Huseman, Nancy (Robbie) Evans, and Ellen (Dan) Wilkerson

Grandchildren: Brittanie (Matt), Sergio, Nicholas, Christopher, Cole and Danielle.

Great Granddaughter: Emily

Brothers: Donald, Wally (Debbie), David and George

Sisters: Pat (Rich) and Doreen (Joe)

Preceded in death by his parents Emil Peters and Lillian Zmirski and by his sister Rosie Pawlak

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 2-8:00 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue, Griffith, IN.

Butch was a retired crane operator for LTV Steel and a former coach at Gavit Middle School.  He was a coach for over 25 years in Hessville for girls' softball and basketball.  Butch also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and he was an avid fisherman.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
