ELEANOR KUSSMAUL FECHNER GRIFFITH, IN Eleanor Kussmaul Fechner, age 85, of Griffith, passed away Saturday August 20, 2011. She is survived by her children: Linda (David) Nelson, Mark (Meribeth) Kussmaul, Jeri (Dennis) Bowman, and Nancy (Edward) Prechel; stepchildren: Jim Fechner and Linda (Wayne) Ready; grandchildren: Scott (Lynn) Nelson, Martin Bowman, Andrew Bowman, Laura Long, and Luke (Chris) Zannoni; six great grandchildren; and brother, James Beaty. She was preceded in death by her husbands: William Kussmaul and Max Fechner; step daughters: Donna and Karen; brothers: Rex, Max, and Neil; and by her sisters: Marjorie and Lolita. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Griffith with Rev. Randall McQueen officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday August 25, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith. Eleanor was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Griffith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Griffith.
