Edward A. Kolisz age 80 of Hammond passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2012

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years: Helen;children: David (Sherry) Kolisz, Michael (Barbara) Kolisz of Griffith, Karen (Mark) Owens of Pittsburgh, PA, Donna Kolisz of Hammond, Edward Jr. (Olympia) Kolisz of Crown Point; Grandchildren: David Jr., Christine, Stephanie (Bryan) Miloshoff, Patrick, Sydney Owens, Megan Krakowiak Great granddaughter: Anya Kolisz; Brother: Ronald (Eileen) Kolisz; Sister: Virginia (late Chuck) Smith. He was preceded in death by his Parents Walter and Charlotte and by his sister Emily Kolbus.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 14, 2012 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 7132 Arizona Ave. Hammond, IN. with Fr. Charles Mosley celebrating.

Burial will follow at St. John-St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday July 13th from 3- 8:00pm

at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith. There will be an evening wake service at 7:30pm on Friday with Fr. Theodore Mens

Edward was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Hammond. He was past president of the OLPH Athletic Assoc. and he was a former basketball coach at OLPH, He was also an avid Fisherman and Golfer. Edward was a Korean War Navy Veteran and he retired from Inland Steel after 35 years.
