Doris Imogene Floyd, 94 of Griffith, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2018. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, John and beloved son , John Kent; parents, Charles and Lea Hendricks; brothers Lowell and Carrol Hendricks, sisters, Glenita Releford, Helen Merrick and Charlene Carter. Imogene is survived by her loving son, David (Trudy) Floyd, loving granddaughters, Kelly (Steve) Ritter and Cyndi (Enrique) Morales, of Griffith, IN, loving grandson, David (Lucia) Floyd of New Lenox, IL; great-grandchildren, Eric and Jessica Ritter, David, Jacob, Natalia and Anthony Floyd; 3 sisters, Ila Ruth Porterfield, Maryanne Griggs of MT. Erie, IL and Kitty (Gene) Eblin of Tuscola, IL.

Imogene and her husband John raised their family in Highland, IN and retired in Mt. Erie, IL, where they spent many happy years in their beautiful log home. Imogene was an excellent gardener and seamstress and did alterations and sewing for family, neighbors and her church family, Imogene also many beautiful handmade quilts as gifts for family and friends.

Imogene and her husband were faithful members of the Brown Church in Mt. Erie, IL. A memorial Service will be held in Mt. Erie, IL in June.
