Donald L Janovsky age 62 of DeMotte (formally of Griffith) passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2015.

He is survived by his wife: Vicki

Children: Chris (Niki) Janovsky of Merrillville, Erin (Chris) Reinhold of Hobart, Kelly (Jason) Postma of Crown Point, Jason (Sara) Quanstrom of Crown Point, Chrisie Quanstrom (Sean Patterson) of Lowell

Grandchildren: Jaclynn, Jimmy, Christopher, Olivia, Abigail, Preston, Reed, Luke and Kennedy.

Mother: Eileen Janovsky of Griffith, sister: Rose (Dennis) Colbert of DeMotte, nephew: Michael (Sherri) Colbert, nieces: Tera Braddam, Heather (Mike) Hogan, and Brandy (Junior) Young.

Mother-in-law: Pat Markiewicz, sisters-in-law: Sue Nowak, and Pam Hoover, brothers-in-law: Vince Markiewicz and Ted (Marlene) Markiewicz. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and seven great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father: Arthur Janovsky and by his sister: Wanda

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10:00 am at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue, Griffith, IN with Father Theodore Mens celebrating.

Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.

Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, April 19, from 2-8:00pm at White Funeral Home .

Don retired from Inland Steel in 2004 after 32 years of service.  He enjoyed coaching, wood working and he was an avid fisherman and hunter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
