Dinah Carol Young, age 75, of Gary, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John B. Young Sr., sons Michael and David Wier, grandson, Steven Grimes, and sister Barbara Robinson.

Dinah was preceded in death by her parents, Rupert and Myrtle Hill, daughter, Theresa Gonzalez, stepchildren, John B. Young Jr., Audra Young, and Eddie Young, and siblings, Saundra Hartly, Mark and Sonny Hill.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) Griffith, IN with Pastor Adam Lyle officiating.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home.

Dinah loved gardening and working with her flowers. Dinah enjoyed spending her time with her kids and had the biggest heart. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
