DEREK R. URBASZEWSKI GARY, IN Derek R. Urbaszewski, age 17, of Gary, passed away August 14, 2011. He is survived by parents: John and Melody Urbaszewski; brothers: Matthew, David, Jessee Sr., and Douglas; sister, Brittany; nephew, Jessee Jr.; nieces: Amber, Ashley, and Jasmine, Andrea, Autumn, and Lexi; step niece, Nicki; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home in Griffith. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Gary. Pastor Roy Moffitt officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, August 22, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home . Derek was a sophomore at Calumet High School. His hobbies included baseball, basketball, wrestling, dirt bikes, four- wheelers, and hot rods. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
