Dawn Karen Stevenson, age 65, of Merrillville, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dan; her children: Dan Stevenson Jr., Michelle "Missy" (Scot) Medlin, and Lola Stevenson; and grandchildren: Erik, Karen, Austin, Ethan, Prescot, and Elizabeth Stevenson and Jaden (Hannah) Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Dolores Chesney and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Ray and Lola Stevenson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 7:00 PM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319 with Father Gregory Bim-Merle officiating. Friends may meet with the family also on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at White Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM when service begins.

Dawn was formerly active with the Lake County Democratic Party.

She loved her two dogs, Scrappy and Shadow.

Dawn was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed bowling, baking, and crafting with her daughters. She especially enjoyed all the holidays, most of all, Christmas because it allowed her to spend time with the entire family together. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.
