David Parrish

David W. Parrish, age 63, of Portage, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

He is survived by his children: Nathan Parrish, Joshua Parrish, and Hanna (Ryan) Satka; grandchildren: Alexandria, Levi, and Colie; brother, Hayden (Jennifer Kurkowski) Parrish; aunts, uncles, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Marva Parrish; son, Jacob; and sisters, Marvetta and Marla Jo, and Becky the mother of his boys.

David was a member of Laborers Union Local 4 out of Chicago for over 30 years. He enjoyed camping, gardening, tubing, the Colts, swimming in the creek, and the Chicago White Sox.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. directly at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart, Indiana (3815 W. 39th Ave.), with Pastor Travis Jackson officiating.

Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at White Funeral Home in Griffith, Indiana (921 W. Glen Park Ave.).
