David E. Griffin age 75 of East Chicago passed away on Monday March 31, 2014. He was born on February 11, 1939 to Wilbur and Laurel Griffin.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Phyllis
Daughter: Cynthia Frederic
Grandchildren: Tiffany, David, Jacob, Amanda, Megan, Michelle, Christopher, Matthew and Nicole.
Great grandchildren: Gracelyn, Ariana, Gabriella, Jaxson, Parker and Juliana
Brother: Gerald (Karen) Griffin of Hessville
Preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Laurel Griffin, siblings Wilbur, Earl, Elizabeth, Nathan, and daughter Angela K. Kennell.
Funeral Services will be held Friday April 4, 2014 at 10:00am at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 th Avenue Griffith.
With Rev. Geraldine Colvin officiating.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery
Friends may meet with the family on Thursday April 3, 2014 from 4:00pm-800pm at White Funeral Home.
David was retired from LTV Steel after 42 years. He loved golfing, bowling, pheasant hunting, and long walks in Wicker Park. David also enjoyed collecting trains and decorating for Christmas.
