Dallas C. "Dal" Wade age 93 of Hammond, passed away on Thursday January 19, 2017.

He is survived by his son Robert (Shirley) Wade; grandchildren Stacy (Brian) Onofrio, Shelly Wade, Robyn (Jason) Blackford, Amy (Mark) Sullivan; great grandchildren William, Becca, R.J., A.J., Jillian, Nick and Leah; daughter-in-law Karen Wade; brother Dale (Diane) Wade, and by his sister June Allen.

Dal was preceded in death by his parents Alva and Dolly Wade, wife Mary, son Rich and by his brother Dean.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 24, 2017 at 10:00am at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue in Griffith with Ed Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday January 23rd from 3:00pm-8:00pm at White Funeral Home.

Dal was the founder of State Auto Body in Hammond.  He was an Army veteran and a 70 year member of the American Legion. He was the past president of Independent Garage Owners Assoc., and he loved to golf.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hospice of the Calumet Area.
