CLARA E. CHAPPEY GRIFFITH, IN Clara E. Chappey, age 98, of Griffith, IN, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012. She is survived by her daughters: Jeannette McBride and Priscilla Kirk; and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Clara was preceded in death by her parents: John and Verne Hough; husband, Henry; son, Richard; and by her daughter, Susie. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Concordia Cemetery, 6551 Calumet Ave., in Hammond with Pastor Andrew Bailey officiating. Clara was retired from Smith Victor and Child Care. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the War Mothers Group, Boy Scouts, and 4-H.
