Clara F. Brendel age 87 0f Dyer, formerly of Highland passed away on Monday April 18, 2016.

She is survived by her daughters Peggy Senzig and Kim Ribicki; grandchildren Suzanne (T    om Bossa) Senzig, Beth (Les) Kapalczynski, Joe (Michele) Garcia, Angee (John) Bakota, and Erica (Steve) Bizon; great grandchildren Shelby, Desiree, Darby, Cate, Tad, Lauren, Joey, Christopher, Logan, Lennon, and Theodore; Aunt Joanne Sills, and by her nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her caregiver and friend Ramona Rex.

Clara is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Ruth Ashlock, husband Ted Brendel and daughter Patricia Garcia.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 23 ^rd at 10:00am at White Funeral Home with Rev. Linda Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday April 22, 2016 from 3-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Ave. in Griffith.

Clara was retired from the Town of Highland serving as Deputy Clerk Treasurer for many years. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Highland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior Avenue, Munster, IN 46321 would be appreciated.
