Christine Janice Jurek age 80 of Decatur, Michigan, formerly of Calumet City, Illinois, passed away on Thursday January 26, 2017.

She is survived by her daughters Tina (Ron) Kottka, Arlene (Bradley) Penning, Kasha (Lee) Balcerak, and Debbie Zarowny; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Ray (Henrietta) Skonieczny and Larry (Joan) Skonie; sister Rose J. Klapat; and by her numerous nieces and nephews.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents John and Veronica Skonieczny, husband Michael, son Michael Jr., and by her grandson Steven Siokos.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at 12 noon at White Funeral Home with Fr. Theodore Mens officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday February 1st from 10:00am till 12 noon at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith.

Christine was a former member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and member of their Altar and Rosary Society in Calumet City, IL. She loved fishing, slot machines, her Pepsi, sunsets, water, being in the sun, mowing the grass, and taking care of the cabins in Michigan.
