Charles S. Kovera, age 87 of Griffith, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Dolores,

Children: Barbara (Marvin) Scheeringa, Michael (Pamala) Kovera, Diane Kovera, John Kovera, and Matthew Kovera. 6 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Brother: George Kovera

Preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Magdalena Kovera.

All services are private.

Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Schererville, IN.

Charles was an Army veteran, and a member of the American Legion Post 66 for 53 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith.  Charles graduated from East Chicago Washington High School, Class of 1945 and was retired from BP Amoco.

He was an avid bowler and Chicago Cubs fan.

Memorial may be given to Hospice of the Calumet.
