Charles "Charlie" A. Gerstner age 24 of Highland, passed away on Sunday September 4, 2022. He is survived by his parents William and Sandra Gerstner; sister Cassie (Giordan) Kaplan; brother Billy Gerstner; nieces Alessandra and Eloise Kaplan; nephew Oliver Kaplan and aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved paternal grandparents William and Dorothy Gerstner, beloved maternal grandparents José and Petra Rodriguez, beloved uncles Jesse and Marty Rodriguez, beloved aunt Patty Wogan, and by his beloved cousins Lisa, Justin, Alex, and Alisa.

Morning prayers will be held on Saturday September 10, 2022, at 11:30am at White Funeral Home and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30pm at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church located at 3025 Highway Ave. in Highland, IN. with Fr. Brian Chadwick celebrating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday September 9, 2022, from 3-9pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) in Griffith.

Charlie's youth was spent playing baseball in the Highland Little League and Babe Ruth League. He graduated from Highland High School class of 2016 where he was a running back on the football team. After graduating from High School, he attended Purdue University Northwest and graduated with a degree in Business. Charlie was a loving, generous, kindhearted, and funny person who will be remembered for his true grit and character of what he represented. A lovely human being who is gone too soon.
