Carlos Anthony Ponce age 41 of Griffith passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014.

Beloved son of Lupe Ponce of East Chicago, IN. Preceded in death by his loving father, Carlos Ponce, maternal Grandmother, Isaura Salinas and his uncle David Ponce, has well as his paternal Grandparents, Maria and Angelo Ponce. Carlos had many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as hundreds of friends, many that he's known since childhood. Carlos graduated from East Chicago Central High School and was pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources at Purdue University. Carlos was known to many as fun-loving, easy going and a big sports fan of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and the Blackhawks. He also enjoyed inviting friends over to his home to watch the latest movies. Carlos had a heart of gold and would go out his way to help out his friends and family whenever he could.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 7:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue Griffith

With Rev. Jim Utley officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday, August 1st from 2:00pm-until time of service at White Funeral Home.
