Betty J. Somers age 88 of Griffith passed away on Tuesday December 27, 2016.

She is survived by her children: Keith Dusenberry, Jerry (Leah) Dusenberry, Karen (Donnie) Shaffer, Timothy Somers, Thomas Somers, Debbie (Tom) Able and by her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents James and Ruth Roman, and her husband Theodore "Mike" Somers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith with Pastor Shawn Cornett officiating.

Grave site services and burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, IN.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday December 30, 2016 from 9-10:00 am at White Funeral Home.

Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Griffith.  She was formerly employed by Griffith Public Schools, the Griffith Laundromat of 45th Ave, and at Smith Victor Corp. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, gardening, and working on other crafts. Betty was also known for her world famous Roast Beef and Noodles.
