Bessie Boulos

Bessie Boulos, age 93, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

Bessie will be lovingly remembered by her children, James (Sandra) Boulos, George Boulos, Patricia (Joseph) D’Anna, and Christine (Timothy) Tarrant; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Kristen) Boulos, Anthony Boulos, Samantha (Jordin) D’Anna-Katzenberger, James Boulos, Joseph Tarrant, John Tarrant, and Victoria Tarrant; her great-grandchildren, Elisabeth O’Mally, Grace Boulos, Dimitrius Boulos, Andrew Boulos, and Kit Katzenberger; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nick; her parents, Vasili “William” and Glykeria “Gloria” Reveliotis; and her siblings, James, Soteria, and Theodore.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 528 W. 77th Avenue, Schererville, Indiana, with Rev. Fr. Demetrios Kounavais officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Hill Memory Gardens in Steger, Illinois.

Bessie found joy in the simple pleasures of life—baking, cooking, knitting, gardening, and taking walks. She shared her love through warm meals, handmade gifts, and the care she gave to her family and home.

Bessie will be fondly, remembered for her absolute love of Greek dancing. She'll be remembered, running to the front of the line, taking hold of the hankie and guiding the dance with the spirit that lifted everyone around her, leading each step with grace, laughter, and a heart that drew people together.
