Alvin J. Hattenbach age 87 of Gary passed away on Friday July 11, 2014.

He is survived by his sisters: Clara Jeremiah, Lorraine(Ed) Radermacher, Carol (Jim) Dallman, and Pat (Chuck) Hescher.

Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents Edward & Elsie Hattenbach, and by his brother Bob.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Theodore Mens celebrating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, July 16 ^th , 2014 from 4:00-8:00pm, wake service will be held at 4:30pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue Griffith, IN.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith, and Scherwood Club, and he was an avid golfer.

He retired from the Illinois teachers association, a former teacher and principal in Lansing, IL.
