Mary M. Radziwiecki (nee Wajda) age 92 of East Chicago passed away peacefully on the morning of January 2, 2018 at her home. She is survived by her loving son, Dr. Ted (Henrieta) Radziwiecki, her cherished sister, Genevieve (late Paul) Wojdyla of Hammond and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Josephine Wajda, husband Ted S. Radziwiecki, sisters Lottie (Joseph) Rajchel, Helen (Norbert) Duray and brother Edmund (Mary Ann) Wajda.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 8, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church 808 W. 150th St., East Chicago by Msgr. John Siekierski. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
Friends may meet with the family on Sunday January 7, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave., Griffith, IN.
Mary was a life-long resident of East Chicago, a proud parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and a member of the Rosary Sodality, Polish Women’s Alliance, Polish National Association and Ladies Auxiliary American Legion.
Following high school, she was employed at the East Chicago Water Department. For many years, Mary and her husband Ted owned and operated Ted’s Homerlee Tap in East Chicago, and T-Mar Sales shipping packages to Eastern Europe.
She was an excellent cook and baker. Her delicious pies, cakes and pastries were highly sought after at family gatherings and church bake sales.
Mary truly loved the Polish community and selflessly assisted many new immigrants. She was renowned for her generosity and helpfulness to family and friends. Everyone who knew Mary was touched at some time in their lives with her kindness and thoughtfulness. 
In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate memorials to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in East Chicago, IN or Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis, P.O. Box 305 Stevens Point, WI.
