Maria R. Maldonado age 84 of Hobart, Indiana passed away on September 6, 2017. She is survived by her children; Lupe (Sam) Adame, Juan(Tere) Maldonado, Blanca(Pancho) Lopez, Carmen(Danny) Barajas, Pablo(Diana) Maldonado, Laz (Carmen) Maldonado, Robert “Beto” (Patty) Maldonado, Martin (Shanda)  Maldonado, Frank (Myrna) Maldonado, Amparo(Frank) Porras, Edwardo” LaLo”(Lisa) Maldonado, Sylvia (Carlos) Dominguez.  Also by 40 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, son-in-law Manuel Rodriguez, brother Pepe Ortiz; Dear friend Ismael Ortiz and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Amparo Borruel; husband Juan Jose, and daughter Raquel Rodriguez.

 Friends may meet with the family on Friday September 8, 2017 from 3:00pm-8:00pm at White Funeral located at 921 W. 45th Avenue in Griffith.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church 525 N. Broad St. in Griffith with Fr. Theodore Mens and Fr. Edward celebrating. Burial will follow at St. John, St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond.

Maria loved spending time with her family and taking her grandchildren “out to eat”.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith.
