Howard “Buddy” Herold Sr age 75 of Griffith, passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2018. He is survived by his sons Howard Herold Jr and Jason Herold. 2 grandchildren, sisters Barbara (Donald) Connelly and Virginia (Late Ray) Simon, brother William (Late Jeanine) Herold, best friend Marian Dohanyos. Preceded in death by his parents William and Hildur Herold

Funeral services will be private. Inurnment of cremains will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.

Howard was an Army veteran and retired from the Merchant Marines.

He was a fun loving person who liked to have a good time and he loved going to the Casinos.
