Clara E. Jeremiah

Clara E. Jeremiah age 90 of Griffith, passed away on Thursday April 19, 2018. She is survived by her children Tim (Pam) Jeremiah, Susan (Late Jeff) Colby, Tracy (Kelly) Jeremiah, Jody (Greg) Coddington, Mary (Rocky Huber) Jeremiah, Jannie (Ron) Urevig, and Tricia (Jeff) Kistler; grandchildren Shannon, Ashley, David, Casey, Kinsey, Tyler, Michael, Emily, Matthew, Natalie, Nicole, Rochelle, Alex, and Zachary; 19 Great Grandchildren; sisters Lorraine (Late Ed) Radermacher, Carol “Toots” (Jim) Dallman, and Pat (Chuck) Hescher, several nieces nephews and friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Elsie (Goldhagen) Hattenbach, husband Roy Jeremiah, and by her brothers Alvin and Bob.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 10:00am DIRECTLY at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 N. Broad St. in Griffith with Fr. Theodore Mens celebrating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday April 23, 2018 form 3:00-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th Ave.) in Griffith, Indiana.

Clara was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith, their Altar and Rosary Society and their Sunshine Quilters Group. She was also a member of the Heritage Quilter’s Guild of Crown Point, the Plymouth Quilter’s, and the Griffith Senior Quilting Group. Clara loved baking, gardening, and was a great seamstress. Clara touched many lives and will be truly missed by those who knew her, and will be forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Mary School in Griffith.
