Lawrence "Larry" Karl Misner

Lawrence K. “Larry” Misner, age 81, of Highland, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan; his children: Tina (Paul) Hansen, Christopher (Shannon) Misner, Carl (Liza) Misner, Daniel Hrasch, Carrie (fiancé Noah Beck) Nebeker; grandchildren: Hope, Aaron, Emma, Mary, Savannah, Chase, Hayden Hrasch, Kaitlyn and Hannah Nebeker; siblings: Melanie (James) McGroarty, Patricia (Thomas) Ohlstrom, Lindey (Bettie) Misner, Clay (Theresa) Misner, Cheryl Austin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Alta Misner.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 12:00 PM at White Funeral home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319 with Lindey Misner officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM when the service begins at White Funeral Home.

Larry graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt High School, Class of 1960. He was a former employee of Blaw-Knox for 26 years and then went on to work for ISM Security for 28 years.

Larry was a member of First Church of Christ in Highland, Indiana. He also founded the “New Friends” Group that met here at White Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoons.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting books about the Presidents. Above all else, Larry loved his family most of all.
