Theresa R. Darnell (nee Drapac) age 85 of Griffith, passed away on Monday December 18, 2017. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to Carla (Bob) Jerred, Mary Darnell, Andrea Darnell, Kenneth T. (Becky) Darnell, Dan (Karen) Darnell, and Ted Darnell; grandchildren Bonnie, Ben, Jackie, Janna, Lauren, Kevin, Erin, Michael, Kenny, Jamie, Chloe, Marissa, and by her numerous great grandchildren; brothers Steven Drapac and Joseph (Norma) Drapac. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Anna Drapac, and by her sisters Eva McGregor and Anne Houck.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at St. James Catholic Church in Highland with Rev. Gregory Houck celebrating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday December 26th from 4-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith.

Theresa was a retired clerk from Holsum Bakery in Highland after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Highland and she loved reading, working puzzles, gardening, and watching Mother Angelica on TV.
