Richard L. Smiddy age 84 of Steger, Illinois passed away on Monday December 25, 2017. He is survived by his brothers; Russell (late Betty) Smiddy, Jim (Julie) Smiddy; eight nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Irene; wife Louise (nee Irby) Smiddy.

All services will be private. Burial will be at Chapel Lawn memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Richard was self-employed roofer in the Chicago land area. He was a proud Army Veteran serving his country from 1954 to 1956. Richard was an avid golfer.
