Herman C Young Jr.

Herman C. Young Jr, age 84 of Griffith passed away on Monday February 26, 2018 in the comfort of family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty nee Trimmer Young;  daughter Natalie (Late Ken) Damron, son Craig (Kirsten) Young , grandchildren Odin, Teague, Neve, brothers Jerry  (Regina) Young, James (Fran) Young, and many nieces and nephews.  

Preceded in death by his parents Herman and Anne Young, Sister Janice and brother in law Don Rohde

Friends may meet with the family on Friday March 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 pm at White Funeral Home Located 921 W.45th St. Griffith. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on March 2, 2018 with VFW Chaplain Delford Jones officiating.

Herman retired from Inland Steel was a member of SOAR, Y- Indian guides leader .He was a loyal husband, tremendous father to Natalie and Craig.  Great supporter of Griffith sports, Route 66 traveler, avid marathon runner x23, Purdue Cal alumni, backyard basketball baller (Spider), and an Indiana basketball historian. He was also an avid photographer.
