Fred Beloshapka Jr. passed away on Saturday August 12, 2016 at his home in Dyer, Indiana at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Fred was born to parents Fred and Rose Beloshapka in East Chicago, IN.  Fred was a graduate of Morton H.S. and began working at Inland Steel in 1961 as a Laborer.  He worked various positions until 1969 when he became a foundry foreman.  Fred retired from Inland Steel in 1993.  Fred Married Diana Havill in 1964 and they resided in Hammond, IN.  They remained together as loving husband and wife until Fred’s passing.  They had four children, Becky (Gary) Mills, Jeannie (Andy) Malerich, Derrick (Leann) Beloshapka, and Steve Beloshapka.   Fred had eleven grandchildren, Amber, Jessica, and Adam (Sarah) Mills, Andrew Oltmans, Jack, Sam, and Billy Malerich, Ashlee(Colton) Wood, Brent( Shelbie) Beloshapka, Austin Beloshapka and Olivia Anzivino, and four great grandchildren, Jade Hart, Ava Mills, Dominic Ybarra,, and Adelaide Wood.  Fred also had two brothers, John (Mary) Beloshapka, and David Beloshapka both residing in AZ.  Fred was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Rose, and his granddaughter Amy.  Fred was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, but so much more.  He was a man of few words, but knew how to love.  He was a devoted husband of 52 years, a great father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, and friend to all.  Fred loved and was loved and will be greatly missed.  Visitation will be at the White Funeral Home, 921 W. 45th Ave, Griffith IN, on Monday, August 15 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm followed by the memorial service at 7:00pm.  A special thanks to Harbor Light Hospice, and the Marcotte Medical Group.
