Alfredo “Bizo” Cadena Sr. age 61 of East Chicago, passed away on Monday December 11, 2017. He survived by his wife, Iris, of 40 years; children Alfredo (Edith) Cadena Jr., Priscilla (Ricardo) Leal, Mario (Magali) Cadena, and Nicolette Cadena; grandchildren Anelisa, Arturo, Aaliyah, Mario Jr., Audriana, and Miguel; siblings Arturo Cadena, Adan (late Hope) Cadena, Alicia (Carl) Pantoja, and Abel (Laura) Cadena; and by his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Clementina Cadena, brother Arnoldo, uncles Fernando and Antonio, and his cousin Carolyn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 15, 2017 at 10am at White Funeral Home with Fr. Pat Kalich officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday December 14th from 4-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith.

Alfredo, as known as “Bizo", was a graduate of Westside High School class of 1976 and was hired by Inland Steel (Arcelor Mittal) after graduation. He was a member of USW Local #1010. He was a very kind and caring person, who loved joking with people. He also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an avid Cubs fan and loved wearing hats, so he never left home without one. Cheers to his life with a big cup of ice.
